Tour description:  This easy jogging sightseeing course starts at the beautiful Opera House, than we run down in Andrassy Avenue till the Heroes’ square. The avenue itself is named after Prime Minister Gyula Andrassy who in 1870 came out with the idea of a monumental avenue which was opened in 1876. The end of the road is sided by beautiful villas where embassies are hosted.  In Heroes’ square you can admire the statues of Hungarian kings and heroes. The two neoclassical buildings on two sides of the square are Museum of Fine arts (left) and the Art gallery (right). After a photo stop we continue our way through the bridge behind the statues. The lake in winter works as the biggest and oldest artificial ice rink in Europe, opened in 1870. Passing the lake, after the bridge, we turn right and admire the Vajdahunyad Castle which was designed to feature copies of several landmark buildings from different parts of the ancient Kingdom of Hungary. Afterwards we make our U turn at the beautiful building of Széchenyi Thermal Bath and running past the Zoo park we return to Run Inn Budapest via Andrassy avenue.
